Rainforest Animals


In Rainforests, there are many different types of wildlife and lots of new and exotic animals. There are species such as the Lar Gibbon, Parrots and Pirahnas. There are also Sloths, Jaguars, Spider Monkeys and Black Howler Monkeys.

Orangutans

Orang-utans spend most of their time in the treetops. Their strong arms stretch out longer than their bodies which allows them to swing through the rainforest canopy or to hang from branches and eat.They eat tropical fruit, leaves, bark and insects.

Most Boa Constrictors live inCentral

America and South America. They may also be found on

some islands in the Caribbean. Boa constrictors eat birds, small rodents, lizards and do not eat large mammals.
An average Boa Constrictor is 6 - 14 feet long but they can be as long as 18 feet. Boa Constrictors have as many as 50 infants during birth as they do not live for very long.

You can find the Red-Eyed Tree Frog in Southern Mexico, Central
America, Costa Rica, Honduras,
Panama, and South America.
Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are carnivorous and eat mostly insects including crickets. They will also feed on other smaller frogs.
